CCPA/OFFS-ARMENIA, SUMMER 2010

The Armenian children from the regions of Armenia were looking forward to OFFS summer season 2010. The schools started on August 02 and August 20, 2010 was the last day for them. This year we had 10 schools sponsored by CCPA/OFFS and 7 self-financed schools; all of them had a great success. About 3500 children participated in these remarkable events, playing games, smiling, laughing, and demonstrating various kinds of exercises. Children of different ages, nationalities and social groups enjoyed their days together during our summer football schools.
Many regions included orphanage children and children with limitations in their OFFS activities. These children were able to make exercises, and it proved everybody that it is possible to fight and win, and the one must not surrender or give up. The involvement of children of different social groups and nationalities into the OFFS activities shows once and again how sport can be used as a tool in building peace and civil society in humanitarian action.

 

The OFFS schools were attended by the regions officials, teachers, parents, volunteers, and were broadcasted by the Armenian TV channels.
Children, their parents, the quests enjoyed the wonderful and festive atmosphere of smiles, laughter and happiness.

 

The Fun Football Schools were over. However the children from regions will always remember the happy hours presented by OFFS program. They became the members of CCPA/OFFS family who will support in future the aim of our project-to encourage integration among people through dialogue, collaboration, through playing and enjoying together.
