Open Fun Football Schools in LebanonCCPA Lebanon has during the summer organized 5 Open Fun Football Schools in different locations all over the country. The schools have been a great success thanks to the efforts of the many volunteering coaches, the more than 1000 participating children, the involved parents and the local municipalities. The football schools have also worked as practical education for coaches in the 24 new CCPA Popular Clubs. These clubs are now ready to start activities in their villages and join the CCPA network which consists of 81 Popular Clubs.
The CCPA activities have been covered by Lebanese media. Here follows a short article (translated from Arabic) from the Lebanese daily Al Balad.
“20 New Popular Clubs Joins the CCPA Family CCPA Denmark – Lebanese Branch, under the supervision of its president Engineer Mazen Ramadan, has successfully accomplished its Open Fun Football Schools activities in the Northern area.
The last day of the OFFS in the North was held in Al Karkaf Municipality field with the presence of 250 boys and girls aging between 8 and 13years and a big hometown audience that was fronted by the Mayor of Karkaf Mr. Yehia Rifaii who talked about the importance of the work CCPA is doing and how it gives the chance of the youth of an area to become closer and facilitate the communication between them. Afterwards, Country Coordinator Mr. Mazen Ramadan talked about the importance of taking care of the youth and talked about how he is proud that the association’s program covers all the Lebanese areas and then North Coordinator Ahmad Ferdos welcomed and thanked all the ones who participated in the success of this event. At the end, equipments were distributed by the association to 20 popular club officials in the north and they are:
Taran, Al Haddadine, Jabal Mehsen, Al Minyeh, Al Qobbeh, Al Tabaneh, Al Mahmara, Bebnin, Karaybet Al Jundi, Berkayel, Al Mina, Al Taawoun Minyeh, Al Abdeh, Tripoli Stars, Bzel, Jdaydet Al Kaytah, Karkaf, Al Mahabeh Al Minyeh, Bet Al Fakes, Al Malooli and all the ones who joined the CCPA popular club family where the number has reached 80popular clubs from all over Lebanon.
After the conclusion of the Open Fun Football Schools in Bekaa, Beirut, Mount Lebanon and the North, the event will continue in Al Maarakeh area in Sour in the south district.”
