Children’s Day in Moldova

June the first was celebrated in several countries around the world as International Children’s Day, and in many countries it is a national holiday. In Moldova we celebrated this day too.

It is not only one of the most joyous holiday for children, but also a reminder for adults that children need their constant care and protection and that the adults are responsible for them. On this day all children need special care, love and affection especially children with cancer, diabetes, disabilities etc.

The aim of CCPA/OFFS Moldova on this day was to visit a hospital where children with cancer are treated (the oncologist institute). Only 12 people (from other organizations) visited this place (due to a restriction set by the administration of the hospital). The main aim of this visit was psychological support of the children. It was agreed with the administration of the hospital that the visit toke place Thursday, June 3.

Boys and girls in spite of their illness was smiling and happy. Each of them received attention, smiles and gifts. FA of Moldova with CCPA/OFFS Moldova represented by assistant’s coordinator CCPA/OFFS: Conusevici iurie, Ceban Svetlana presented souvenirs and balls for all children.
