Grassroots Football Award

To celebrate the UEFA Grassroots Day, the forthcoming pan-European celebration of Grassroots Football, it was decided to acknowledge the skills and dedication of those who dedicate their time to the grassroots game by recognizing the best grassroots leaders, programmes and clubs in Europe.

The UEFA Executive Committee, at its recent meeting in Tel Aviv, has confirmed the award winners including one nominated by our association:

Best Grassroots project 2010
Gold: Open Fun Football School (CCPA/OFFS Moldova)
Silver: Respect Campaign (England)
Bronze: Mass Football Promotion (Armenia)

The winners will receive a specially produced certificate in recognition of this achievement and some footballs to assist in their grassroots activities. The award will also be announced in a forthcoming issue of UEFA direct.

Wednesday, 14 April 2010, was a very important and special Day for Moldova Football Association and for the entire Moldavian football - the FA of Moldova celebrates its 20th anniversary since foundation! We are grateful and happy to receive this award on this very Day!
