Street sport PaleOn Saturday, 20th February, Pale hosted an event for boys and girls from three clubs of Pale and neighbouring town of Praca. Children met up in a hall with plastic pitch, where they played and had fun for more than 3 hours (from 1 to 3.30 PM). ![]() The kids are members of clubs: FK Jahorina (15 boys and girls) – Praca, FK Olimp (32 boys and girls) – Pale and FK Romanija (33 boys and girls) and there were 35 girls on the pitch. Games were played on five stations, and work was done by the Fun Football concept and held by CCPA OFFS trainers and instructors.
The event was visited by Mrs. Anna Maja Persson, a journalist form Swedish national TV station, who did a piece on impact of Open Fun Football Schools on cohesion of two towns once separated by a conflict. She interviewed CCPA country coordinator Esad Hadzijusufovic, instructor Nenad Djapic and two kids, a girl from Praca and a boy from Pale. Both children expressed their joy and satisfaction coming to Open Fun Football Schools, as well as events followed by such as this event, and confirmed that without OFFS they would probably never have a chance to meet up with their friends from neighbouring town. Mr. Hadzijusufovic and Mr. Djapic gave an insight on the beginnings of the project, and its on-going importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
