Minister Abdallah has chosen Ramadan as adviser

Aliwaa Newspaper, January 10

“Tell me who you advisor is, and I can tell how your actions will be!”

These words could be said about the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ali Abdallah who has chosen the engineer and sports consultant Mazen Ramadan as advisor. Ramadan is a notable profile with posts as President of the Lebanese Canoe and Kayak Federation, head of CCPA Lebanon, responsible for organizing open air sports activities, and furthermore he is a match commissioner for the Asian Football Confederation, which gave him the award for “Best Match Commissioner of the year” in 2009. Ramadan was also a member of the Lebanese Olympic Committee.
The presence of Ramadan in the ministry fits the saying: “Who is like us, will come to us”. What is meant here is good personality, transparency, integrity and a desire to work and give.

When Abdallah was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports it was received with satisfaction in the Lebanese sports family and created trust in the future of Lebanese sports.

And today with the presence of the advisor Mazen Ramadan at side of Minister Abdallah, it is expected that the decisions of the minister will be close to the rules and logic of sports. Furthermore, the distance between the minister and the sports family will be shorter thanks to the new advisor. The minister comes from a different background and doesn’t know much about sports and the challenges and problems related to this field. He already admitted this during his inauguration ceremony. That the minister admitted this is not a bad thing, on the contrary it is respectable to admit this and then choose an advisor with great knowledge in sports.
The question is whom to congratulate; the minister or the advisor? To say the truth, both persons should be praised, because they know how to serve Lebanese sports in the best way.
