Mini Tournament in Arraya – January 18, 2010.

 

On a sunny Sunday afternoon the Popular Club of Arraya in Mount Lebanon invited two other popular clubs from al-Hadath and Ras el-Nabea in Beirut to participate in a mini-tournament.
36 children from the 3 clubs took part in the activities at the small stadium, which was decorated with CCPA flags and banners. The mini tournament also attracted parents and spectators from the town, who were cheering and creating a good atmosphere.
The most popular team of the day was the girls’ team from al-Hadath. All the boys wanted to play against them and the girls wanted to show that they could beat the boys. The boys from Ras el-Nabea told that they had never played with or against girls before and were very impressed with their skills.
During the good and fair competition the girls played very well and managed to beat one of the teams with boys. This victory was very well-liked at the stadium in Arraya.
All the children, coaches and spectators had a great day.  The players were all looking forward to meeting again at the next mini-tournament – and the girls were looking forward to beating the boys again!
