OFFS Al-Shiala Baghdad 18-19 and 22–23–24 October

Al-Shiala and al-Gazlaye are two neighbouring Shiite and Sunnite neighbourhoods in Baghdad. Only a short period of time ago as sectarian war entangled Baghdad, all movements between the two neighbourhoods had grinded to a halt. Now CCPA – al-Salam football schools and our network of coaches intend to change physical and mental borders: The two neighbourhoods shall be one city, again! Hence, in October coaches and children from the two areas joined hands to implement 5 days of Open Fun Football Schools at the sports facility newly constructed in al-Shiala by the municipality. A total of 209 boys participated 112 being Shiite, 80 Sunnite and 17 Kurds. The event was broadcast by Al Iraqya TV.
